HOMELESS DOUBLE KERMITS PERFORM UNDER PRESSURE

I have no idea if this guy is really homeless or a performance artist but this is very cool and oddly touching.

A MOSQUE FALLS IN NEW YORK

PATHETIC, SAD AND IGNORANT (A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS)

I try not to get too involved with politics because it's nothing anybody will speak about in a real and concise manor. Nobody gets together and discuses anything, instead they fight and argue and try to center their party to be ruler of the universe. Our political system is so corrupt, so devoid of anything besides theft, bribery, collusion and so on that it only represents the worst in who we are.

However watching this whole business about a Mosque being built near Ground Zero and the incredible amount of ignorant hysteria around it sickens me. Let's clear something up right now, let's just set it in stone so we can move on. The Muslim Religion had nothing to do with 9/11, nothing at all. If you have even a general idea of what Qur'an is or what it's about you'll know that a Jihad is both a war of faith and a practice to combat oppression against the Muslim religion.

If it has a war ideal to it, it's fighting against other soldiers and people who create violence against the Muslims. Killing thousands of innocent people is not what the Muslims are about, it was a bastardization of the meaning by a war mongering political faction.

Sound familiar?

We in this country have oppressed, destroyed, fought and killed over our idea of Religion being the correct one for hundreds of years. What is the difference between George W Bush and Osama Bin Laden? Well, both are spoiled rich kids handed a huge leadership they then used for personal gain. Both have poisoned the idea of faith and religion for political reasons and both send others to die in a war they started. Not to mention both have killed thousands in the name of their persona beliefs. However if a church was refused in a Muslim community America would shit itself.

Moving away from all the political semantics there was no actual Mosque to be built anywhere fucking near Ground Zero. First of all it was a (approx) 15 story community center with a Mosque in it. It would also have a culinary school, after school programs and other community based things open to everybody. If all races and creeds are there when exactly are the people crammed into the top floors worshiping their God going to train terrorist soldiers? The entire idea is ludicrous.

The building is also going to be about five blocks from Ground Zero not on it so lets at least get the facts straight. According to a few news reports there is a full fledged Mosque even closer to Ground Zero that's been there undisturbed for longer than the Twin Towers were around. Let's face it folks, the terrorists have won because we are no longer America.

Every hillbilly redneck who is protesting this Mosque or any person that believes it is disrespectful has basically shit all over what America is supposed to be about and the memories of every soldier that died for the ideals of America and the flag. If we are now so terrified that we can begin dictating what can be done in the name of prayer we're no longer America and 9/11 has done it's job for the terrorists.

Trying to hide this fear behind a respect issue could be the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Does that mean certain parts of the world should kick out all the Catholics because of the Crusades? Should the world fear America because we believe in a God that has caused more harm and death than any other? No, of course not because those who have done that don't represent our God correctly.

Much like the terrorists and the Muslims.

Americans love to get on a kick about how fucked up it is that everybody blames all of America because of the actions of a few e.g. racial murders, swindles that rob people of everything they have, etc. Aren't we doing the EXACT SAME THING. Are we so blind and stupid we can't even see that? We've taken a request to build a Community Center with a Mosque in it five blocks from Ground Zero and treated it as if these people wanted to build 70 foot posters of Osama Bin Laden right where the buildings fell.

I lived in NYC most of my life and I was there when the attacks happened. The way we reacted, the sense of us vs them, the nationalism that crept in over night was embarrassing. I remember certain idiots burning down delis and stores owned by families from India because they thought they were Muslims. It wasn't a time of great unity, for the most part it was utterly horrific how people responded.

I'm not a Republican or a Democrat so you can shut that shit down right now. I don't blame Republicans or the right because those who hold close to that party are delusional soldiers who live to take orders and obey no matter what the reality is. The Democrats are pussies, little bitches who talk a big game and then don't do shit. As Lewis Black says our two party system is basically a big bowl of shit looking at itself in the mirror.

Before anybody tries to throw the "you didn't lose anybody" card let me squash that beef right now. My father died of AIDS, a violent, horrific disease that invokes nearly as much ignorance, violence and terror as the idea of terrorists moving into the city. I've had people from all religions tell me my father was burning in hell, that God killed him because he deserved to die, that AIDS was God's way of purifying our world.

Those specific people I want to beat to death with a pipe however if people not like that who still followed those Religions wanted to build a church near me I wouldn't call it disrespectful. I'm not a dick or hateful to people with faith because of a few assholes. See what I'm saying?

America needs to shit or get off the pot. We have two choices left and the time to make that choice is now. We either aspire to be the America we say we are or we don't. To be the America we say we are then we take the high road always. We believe in Freedom Of Speech even if we don't like what we hear, we don't take political or Armed Forces shortcuts, we always do what's right, just and considerate of all people.

That way will lead to attacks from those who think it's weak, to people who will exploit our high road and use it against us, it won't be easy. However if we did it then we would be that shining example and other countries would take up with us and a sense of brotherhood could emerge.

The other choice is to stay 'Merica, that good old boy redneck ideal that we have now. We keep doing all the underhanded, ignorant, violent shit we always have done but we own up to it. Instead of pretending we're a shining example and then really being underhanded scum (which is why so many hate us) at least if we came clean we'd be honest. I'd hate to live here but at least the hypocrisy would be gone.

I'll fight, kill and die for America but 'Merica can kiss my ass. I don't want to be from a place that dictates who can be in love and be married, that apologizes to BP for being treated harshly after they released a natural disaster the likes of which we may never recover from fully. I have no interest in a place where teachers, policemen and fireman are losing their jobs while mammoth corporations proven guilty of theft hand out big bonuses. Why would I want to fight for a place where anything can set off a chain reaction of violence and ignorance?

And why would I be proud of a country that keeps people from being able to worship in times when faith is all a lot of people have?

America dies a little more each day and 'Merica grows stronger. If 'Merica continues to progress the way it has then how far from another Nazi movement are we really?

A FILM UNFINISHED TRAILER

Usually this blog is mostly for me to be snarky, grumpy and downright mean. However sometimes something comes along that is too important for all of that. A Film Unfinished is just such a movie. The documentary deals with a discovered reel of the Nazi propaganda machine. Thus far most of the Nazi footage we've seen is inside the death camps but this reel is a different kind of horror, a deeper lie than we've known before. Here's the trailer:

The Nazi's not only slaughtered millions of innocents and through that action destroyed lives of people still living today, they hoped to try and turn the world against those they slaughtered through misinformation and lies. In a time when this same kind of deceit is being used to insight panic against a simple Community Center being planned "near" Ground Zero I think this film is something we all need to see.

SUCK MY ASS IT SMELLS: JAMES CAMERON

So often people ask why nobody in the rest of the world takes America seriously anymore, why we're a walking punchline. If you don't already know look no further then the report that director James Cameron has been flown into brainstorm with scientists on stopping the massive BP oil flow that is currently destroying an Ocean, killing wild life, taking people's livelihoods and property as well. This is what we do while something this destructive goes down? We turn to a fucking movie director to save our asses? Has America drifted so far into the vast ocean of stupidity that we as a people actually believe a star can save us from the bad things? This isn't a movie folks and Cameron can't do anything for us. I mean Christ the whole mess is already in 3D because it's FUCKING REAL...what can this Avatar asshat do?

Anybody who is about to raise up and hand me a gut full of Cameron's expertise with underwater equipment just shut the fuck up right now. This guy used his money to fuck around with some underwater cameras and submersibles in order to try and lend credence to his crappy Titanic movie by filming the real thing. Well hell fuck yeah that makes him an expert in disaster clean up. I once had a bitchen remote controlled submarine, can I get flown out to help fix the leak? I thought we'd hit rock bottom as a country when California elected Schwarzenegger as their Governor but nope, we continue to drop down the ladder of humanity one rung at a time.

The thing that chaps my ass is that Cameron's legendary ego is so fucking out of control he actually believes he can help. He actually thinks he can slide in and try to fix the problem. Why, because he directed a movie about blue people who love nature? Is it because he's such a gosh golly right on tree hugger he thinks he can commune with nature? This just shows the lack of seriousness the leak is being given. Nobody gives a solid shit about the damage being done, everybody just wants either to not be hurt by the fallout or to be the hero of the day who stops the oil.

Millions and millions of gallons are leaking every few hours into the ocean, destroying the natural balance, reducing a huge part of the planet to a toxic dumpsite. Is anybody getting this? Does anybody really understand how bad it is? The people in charge sure don't seem to understand the reality here, or they just don't care. Obama, a guy I usually root for, has screwed the pooch so hard on this it brings back shades of when Dubya got Brown, the head of the Equestrian Society, to head up FEMA and totally fuck up the Katrina disaster rescue. Obama should be fining the board of directors of BP hundred of thousands of dollars personally a day until it's fixed and he should allow for those with BP in their homes to not pay their bills until it's fixed. Watch how fast that shit gets done.

Nope, not us, not our Government. Instead we send a movie director to help with the Sci-Fi robot plan. What's next? If this doesn't work let's call Christian Bale, after all he is Batman and Batman could stop this. We could call Brandon Routh, he's really Superman and could fix it lickety split. Better yet let's get the guy from Entourage who played Aquaman to swim down there and use his power to communicate with the sea animals as a way of fixing the problem. With the wealth of Hollywood movies at our disposal America has any number of people to choose from.

So while James Cameron brainstorms and America looks on rooting for him the oil continues to leak. BP continues to hem and haw and Obama does nothing but go out there and point to the oil saying "That's bad". Thanks Prez, glad you're here to tell us these things. My favorite is how the dirty rat bastard Republicans, who could be using this to crucify Obama have said very little. Why, because their scum bag golfing buddies are oil barons and they don't wanna bite the hands that corrupt them. If this is how we react to things then the human race deserves to drown in oil.

SERIOUSLY DUDE, I CAN FIX IT!!

NAZI TOURETTES....I Love Me Some LEWIS BLACK

Further Proof The South Needs To Be Destroyed

This perfectly lovely girl, with her sweet smile and cherub face became a victim of something so fucking heinous that if I had a license to kill I'd be in her corner of the world lighting up everybody that was a part of it. For those who don't remember this is Constance McMillen a teenager from the obvious shithole of Itawamba County, Mississippi. Young Constance made the unforgivable mistake of deciding that in this world where love is such a rare commodity her place was alongside other girls. That was who she was attracted to, this was where she wanted to find herself a love to call her own. She was a lesbian and not at all afraid to admit it to the world.

Naturally being ignorant redneck asshole cunts the local in-bred shitheels of Itawamba County lost what little mind they had and persecuted her at every turn. First they refused to allow her to go to her prom because she planned on bringing a female date. Then these mountain monkeys cancelled the entire thing as the ultimate screw you to Constance. However the news of that bastard move spread and lawyers from the ACLU sued these fuckers right out of their double-wide trailers and Klan Robes, thus enabling Constance to go to her prom.

Well these living advertisements for keeping abortion legal didn't stop there, they had themselves a plan..yeeHAW!! These people, these fucking ADULTS, got together and planned a secret prom for every other kid to attend and told Constance and her date that the prom was being held at another location. When they arrived there were only seven kids there and that was it, the entire thing was a fake out which broke a teenage girl's heart and allowed the rest of the student body to party elsewhere. It's a pity Carrie wasn't at that prom to cook some racist children and their folks.

There was nothing that could be done legally because the festering open sores called their prom a private event and not an actual "prom". Even though the intent was clear these redneck scum figured out a way around the law and more importantly managed to fuck up a special night for a teenager.

Goddamn I fucking hate humanity, I hate us down to the sewage core of our beings. With all that's going on, with all the pain and suffering around the world these assholes decided to make it their mission to hurt a teenage girl because she liked women? That's all we are, that's the best we can do? All I can say to Constance is that she'll grow up, leave that town and move on to a better life while the rest of them are left to wallow in their own pathetic lives.

i hate everything

Thanks to BOINGBOING for the story.

THE SADNESS OF MAINE AND THE REST OF THE COUNTRY

I try not to rant too heavily about political issues on this blog mainly because I started it to make people laugh and talk about the dorky stuff that I love every day. The recent events in Maine, the state overturning the right to Gay Marriage has driven me to write this because I'm just so ashamed to call myself an American right now. It's more than just the anti-gay movement but if I start getting into every reason I get sick thinking of the direction our country is heading I'll crash the blogspot server. So let's stick with the anti-gay movement, let's stick to that one despicable piece of Americana.

For those who don't think I have any first hand knowledge of the problems in the Gay community let me set those fears to rest by telling you about my father. Ronald Thomas Robinson was one of the most spectacular human beings I have ever known. Brilliant writer, loving father, compassionate human being. I was lucky to have even known the man much less be able to claim he was my father. He was also gay and died much too young from complications due to the AIDS virus. My father had caught the disease during the early eighties when so little was known about the AIDS and he fought it for years before it claimed his life.

Most of my friends were from nuclear families, the kind that these right wing Bible thumping political morons would have loved and most of them got divorced. These super straight ultimate American fathers, almost without fail, left their children after the divorce and moved away. They never saw their kids or they were too busy with new wives and children or they just didn't care. My father never lived more than 30 blocks from me and he was always there, even when I didn't deserve it.

My father had two partners in his life and he was committed to both of them like I have never seen. His first partner died of AIDS and my father was there every second. Cleaning up after him, bathing him, feeding him, etc. They were a real life married couple and the same held true for my dad's second partner. That partner did for my father when he was dying what my father did for his first partner during his ordeal. The dedication and love going on there was just that, dedication and love. It wasn't gay love or homosexual love it was love, pure and simple.

My father taught me about compassion and about generosity of spirit. My father welcomed everybody with open arms as did his partners and their friends. How many so called "Good Christian" men are homophobic, racist, misogynistic and so on? It's not that all gay men and women were perfect but my father's friends were always much more easy going about people. My father was a very big fan of the golden rule as were most of his friends. Most of these hateful bigots feel the Golden Rule on applies to them and nobody else.

My favorite claim is that gay men are promiscuous and cause the spread of the AIDS virus. Sorry ding dongs you're waaaay the fuck off base there. Gay people did more to galvanize themselves and start preaching the gospel of being careful and smart about sex than any other group. Most of the real problem comes from men who lie about being with hookers, junkies or Gay men who aren't careful and remain closeted. As for being promiscuous, Gay men and women are no more that than straight men and women. Some gay couples are monogamous, some open, some honest, some cheat, some have one partner, some have multiple partners...JUST LIKE FUCKING STRAIGHT PEOPLE YOU IDIOTS. Why when a guy goes out and bags 30 women is he king shit of the world but a gay man who does the same is a scourge?

Here's the reality of the gay world, here's the man behind the curtain. You ready.....drum rollll....they're no different than anybody else. When you really stare at it, when you really fucking look at the situation gay people simply have different sex partners than the baby making population. That's it, that's all, nothing else. Effeminate, quiet, butch, loud, leather clad or suit and tie, none of that shit is any different than the multiple personality quirks of the straight world. I hate to sound all hippie on it but we're all just people with varied personalities and interests and so on. Being gay doesn't instantly mean you're a good person and being straight sure as shit doesn't instantly make you right.

Most anti-gay folks whip out the Bible and religion when casting their own net of ignorant prejudice. So how does this work exactly? How do you people know what God is thinking? I'm guessing he doesn't sit down and chat with you so you're basically assuming or paraphrasing. WOW, assuming what God is thinking, I don't know if I'm that sure of myself y'know?

Some say it's the Bible and that they use that for guidance. Yeah I hate to break it to you but the Bible was written by men, most likely scared men looking for some order in their world. Didn't any of you Bible thumpers find it odd that women were looked down on, different races were looked down on, anything not having to do with straight men was looked down on? Do you really think that a God of love would write something like that? No it was men, men who have managed to fool everybody into thinking this is the word of God.

From what I understand God is love and that's how I see him. I see God in my fiancee Sara when that feeling in my heart punches through every time she comes close to me. God is in the way children look at their parents and how parents sacrifice everything for their child. He's in the heart of the guy who runs into the burning building to save somebody, or the person who gives money to charity. God is in a simple hug when somebody is feeling low and even how animals look to us to take care of them. Oh and I realize just now I'm being sexist, God could be a woman so put He/She were I put only he.

God is not hateful, he/she is not this deity that sits around and decides how to make people's lives difficult. God does not look at a wonderful, giving and caring human being like my father and cast him into a burning pit of fire because he likes men. Somehow I think God has better things to do in all of the Universe than spite men for sleeping with men and women for sleeping with women. If he really is that awful and vengeful then fuck him because I'm probably already doomed.

Some say homosexuality isn't natural and maybe in the idea of baby making it's not. However there are animals that suddenly pair up with the male of their species and that's not nurture, that's instinct. You can't raise somebody to be Gay, either they are or the aren't and anything else is bullshit. A gay couple with a kid CAN NOT RAISE A KID TO BE GAY!!! If the kid is gay he/she would've been no matter who the parents are. It's not an abomination to nature it's part of nature it's just an offshoot of the baby making straight feelings we have. Denying a loving Gay couple a kid is basically fucking the kid over for your bullshit ideals. How fucked up is that!?

Let's just say for the sake of argument the anti-gay folks are right and gay people will burn in hell and are an affront to God. Um, okay, so who cares? That's their business not yours. If they are going to burn in hell then let them worry about it, stop wasting everybody's time by actively complaining about something that has nothing to do with you. There is so much work that needs to get done on real problems why waste the world's time with your personal gripes?

Oh and spare me the bullshit about gay men being deviants who lure kids into the homosexual lifestyle or use them as sex toys. Go back and look at the facts, kids are done more harm by straight men and PRIESTS than any members of the gay community ever have. Oh and as far as Gay men in the military or on a police force being "less than" their straight counterparts. I've seen many many gay men and women beat the fucking shit out of people who start shit with them so don't get any ideas. Being gay doesn't mean you're suddenly weak or too scared to fight. Don't believe me? Go start some shit at a gay bar, see how long you remain standing.

What Maine has done denying gay marriage simply fosters hatred and misunderstanding. It also gives way to more wasted time over this non-issue. People must understand that being anti-gay is the same as being racist or misogynistic, it's all just evil hatred wrapped up in different packages. Everybody on this planet deserves the right to be happy and feel loved, period end of discussion. Anything else, any rules or guidelines or exceptions to that fact are bullshit Evil, hateful bullshit spewed out by ignorant fools who are so scared of their own shadow that anything that's not them must be destroyed.

The alienation and persecution of the gay community is just another sign that AMERICA has devolved into 'MERICA, a place where the few control the masses and where some ancient good old boy ideal has become the rule of thumb by which we're supposed to live. There is so much going wrong right now, so much happening that needs to be fixed and yet we waste time over being anti-gay or racist or whatever. Having those feelings, while I don't agree with them, is your right but to use them to negatively effect people's lives is in my mind criminal.

If you won't let gay people get married then you'd be against any minority or different group getting married. It's the same thing, it's a group of people that aren't you and you hate that and you wish to destroy it. The reality is you need to be wiped off the planet because you're a cancer, one that is rotting the world from the inside. Don't you use God as your shield either because that shit doesn't wash anymore. I'll end this with a quote:

"If Jesus came back and saw what was being done in his name. He'd never stop throwing up."

IT'S WEIRD OUT THERE BUT NOT THE GOOD WEIRD

Something is going on, something is coming, I don't know what it is but I can feel it. I won't say the end of the world because who knows what that means? Hollywood says it means destruction and the end of this false world we've spent so long building. Is that the end of the world though? I don't know, I can't even get online to change my goddamn mailing address on my credit cards so who am I to even guess. Still, something is out there, just beyond where we can see it or it's being clouded by vermin bottom feeders who think if there's enough profit in the world we can stave it off.

Still it remains out there and those of us who can feel it fucking hate the beast, not because it's there but because we don't know what it is. When it comes the judgment will be final and swift. Who lives and who dies and what course it'll set for humanity if any at all remains to be seen but we'll all know when it comes. You can tell it's out there because humanity has gotten weird, not good weird, just weird.

We're like a pack of dogs moving at a faster and faster pace because we're nervous. We'll do anything to deny it because facing a faceless enemy is scary shit. It won't respond to some phony hand holding movement like the hippies, it fell for that once before. It knows at our core we're deceitful, hateful people that have a huge capacity for good and right that we choose to ignore.

I watch the circle of the simple in Washington and it scares me, really scares me. When the world economy collapsed and all the dirty laundry of corporate whoring got spewed onto the front lawn of the American household I thought it might do something. I envisioned it as a collective stranding on an island. We may hate each other but we had to work together to get off this Island before we die.

We voted in a new president, a guy that seemed like he might have a light on inside his head. We'd spent eight years with the darkness so a little light went a long way. It was time to roll up the sleeves and work it all out. That didn't happen though, the next day it was fucking politics as usual.

The Republicans took the ball first, faking right so they could shoot left. Saying they would work with the new President only to become vicious rabid attack dogs nipping at him as he tried to outrun them. Republicans are cut into two sections, the evil and the ignorant. The evil run the whole show, they're the pit bosses in the Casino stalking each corner looking to rip people off. The new Kings and Queens who care only to be in power all else be damned. The ignorant are those who simply follow what the evil say because they've said it. They don't hear what's being said they just know that joe-bob-gosh-oh-gee who likes BBQ, Jesus and Guns loves it so they love it to. The combination of evil and ignorant is horrifying to watch.

You see it daily in their response to everything said by anyone who is not them. It feels like the Republicans have entrenched themselves into a muck of noncooperation in hopes they can make it 2005 again. If they just scream and holler enough at any sound made by an outside voice they might get their power back. Each day it's proven that they won't, that the Republicans are seen more and more as a punchline but they will not deviate from course. The rocks are ahead, the crew is screaming but the Captain forges on sure that it will all work out.

See what I mean, that's weird.

The Democrats haven't really changed their game either, they just pussy out of everything. Obama has a really great way with speeches but I'm no closer to knowing what he's doing than anybody else. Mostly because the Democrats talk in circles same with the Republicans, none of them have a straight answer. That's all I need Doc, give it to me straight. Is the cancer benign or malignant? Is this a cold or AIDS? Do I need glasses or a walking stick? I need to know Doc so fucking tell me.

Instead we get this weird tell you but don't tell you. The Republicans say that Obama spends too much money and that won't help ignite the economy and energize the small business. So then somebody says well what would you do? You get something like this:

REPUBLICAN: "I would take steps to make sure the economy was invigorated and that the small business man could take steps to become involved in the new economy without costing the tax payers this incredible amount of money."

PEOPLE: "What would you do exactly, as in with examples?"

R: "Energize the economy by taking steps to provide resources to keep the economy energize"

P: "What steps?"

R: "Steps to energize the economy by creating an energizing ideal"

P: "Why is Obama dangerous?"

R: "He's a socialist. He spends too much money"

P: "How is he a socialist?"

R: "He just is. He wants Government involved and that doesn't work."

P: "Are you saying your way worked? Did you forget about that?"

R: "That's not the topic here."

P "OK Republican, What would you do?"

R: "I would energize the economy by using...."

You get the idea.

Democrats don't say anything, they tend to just talk about how this is a new day and toss out clutch words like "Hope". By the time they both finish what they're doing my head hurts and nothing has been solved, at the very least I still don't have a goddamn straight answer.

Like I said, weird.

It's not just politics, the weird vibe is everywhere. Music has all but shutdown as more and more clones come out spewing the same rhetoric. Everybody has a costume, everybody has a way of walking and talking, a disaffected stare that's supposed to show me they're above it all. Bursts of anger in no direction, railing about how bad it sucks but not what can be done about it. It's a cesspool, a greedy hell pit where the vapid mall culture does their best to co-opt the counter culture into the hoola hoop. The need to be shot, two in the head until somebody stops it.

Film, books, TV, it's all swirling in this constant motion as if it has no reason to try and improve. We're in a holding pattern waiting to see what shitstorm we have to weather next and I don't think we have a clue. We've let is get so bad here that maybe we've all just given up. Sure we pay it all lip service and pretend we want to make a change but we don't.

It's about bling, instant fame and something for nothing. It's about semi-attractive women getting movie deals for blogs about the trials and tribulations of sucking cock in a bathroom stall during the Prada show between Appltinis. It's about uncovering something and exploiting it, using it to make you money or fame. Rich white American celebrities adopting kids from all around the world except here in America where plenty of children starve every day. That doesn't get a news blip, that doesn't allow Brad Pitt to grow sensitive goatee and walk around Africa pointing like some kind of trained animal.

It all seems pointless, we horde things we think we need into houses we can't afford. Men act as if we should hand them a shiny trophy for taking care of their families and not running out on them. Serial killers are the new heroes, compassion is a character flaw, and we can do anything we want be it unfair or unjust and call it The Game, that makes it ok.

I'm not angry anymore just sad because I look at Sara and see genuine good. I see a person who beams light and unabashed care and compassion and I'm sad for the world she's in. She deserves to live to be 100, to run around and experience wonderful things in a world that deserves her. I hate that everyday a little more of her good dies out at the hands of cocksucking hate mongers with cellphones and no idea how to look where they're going. That humanity has become so focused on themselves that they can't even pretend to care about other people anymore.

Look at how we drive, how people walk down the street or talk loudly in a public place. Christ we had to have instant flushing installed because we can't bother to flush the toilet so the next guy doesn't have to smell our foul urine. This wasn't what I signed on for, this wasn't the circus I wanted to join.

It's weird out here now but not the good weird, not the weird that makes it better. A darkness is falling and we can't see it. Some of us don't know it, some of us embrace it but I'm waiting until it shows itself. Don't shoot until you see the whites of their eyes. Until then I'll butter some popcorn and watch the humanity bus rocket with no driver towards the edge the cliff. At least it'll be entertaining.

FUCK BILL O'REILLY: THE TRUTH ABOUT AMSTERDAMN

I think it's fair to say that Bill O'Reilly is just pure ignorance, mixed with a dash of evil and a large amount of rich, white, ego. This talking head cunt never shuts up and when he's wrong he just yells louder or out and out lies about facts to seem right. He's pathetic and sad and we all know it.

Recently Los Angeles toyed with the idea of legalizing weed to help with their struggling economy. Of course O'Reilly and his fear mongers had to leap into action because anything that rattles the status quo has to be destroyed. O'Reilly is part of the conservative Republican world that doesn't care at all about the people they serve, they simply see themselves as the ruling class. When they are not in power they must lie, fight and scrape to get back into power no matter who it hurts.

So O'Reilly decided to target Amsterdam and their lax pot laws to make his point. Using lies, fake facts and more made up shit than Dr. Seuss would have the talent to attempt he made Amsterdam look like a cesspool of corruption and decadence. In the condescending eyes of these Republican uber-cunts it's basically Escape From New York. Watch this video which contains O'Reilly's fear campaign and actual statistics about Amsterdam

FUCK YOU BILL O'REILLY.

A LIST OF SARAH PALIN'S LIES

OH JIMMINEY CHRISTMAS I'M A LYING HOSEBAG

In case anybody had recently embraced utter stupidity and thought maybe Sarah Plain was anything besides a redneck idiot who couldn't be trusted to sell used Double Wides. Enjoy this list:

Palin lied when she said the dismissal of her public safety commissioner, Walt Monegan, had nothing to do with his refusal to fire state trooper Mike Wooten; in fact, the Branchflower Report concluded that she repeatedly abused her power when dealing with both men.

Palin lied when she repeatedly claimed to have said, "Thanks, but no thanks" to the Bridge to Nowhere; in fact, she openly campaigned for the federal project when running for governor.

Palin lied when she denied that Wasilla's police chief and librarian had been fired; in fact, both were given letters of termination the previous day.

Palin lied when she wrote in the NYT that a comprehensive review by Alaska wildlife officials showed that polar bears were not endangered; in fact, email correspondence between those scientists showed the opposite.

Palin lied when she claimed in her convention speech that an oil gas pipeline "began" under her guidance; in fact, the pipeline was years from breaking ground, if at all.

Palin lied when she told Charlie Gibson that she does not pass judgment on gay people; in fact, she opposes all rights between gay spouses and belongs to a church that promotes conversion therapy.

Palin lied when she denied having said that humans do not contribute to climate change; in fact, she had previously proclaimed that human activity was not to blame.

Palin lied when she claimed that Alaska produces 20 percent of the country's domestic energy supply; in fact, the actual figures, based on any interpretation of her words, are much, much lower.

Palin lied when she told voters she improvised her convention speech when her teleprompter stopped working properly; in fact, all reports showed that the machine had functioned perfectly and that her speech had closely followed the script.

Palin lied when she recalled asking her daughters to vote on whether she should accept the VP offer; in fact, her story contradicts details given by her husband, the McCain campaign, and even Palin herself. (She later added another version.)

Palin lied when she claimed to have taken a voluntary pay cut as mayor; in fact, as councilmember she had voted against a raise for the mayor, but subsequent raises had taken effect by the time she was mayor.

Palin lied when she insisted that Wooten's divorce proceedings had caused his confidential records to become public; in fact, court officials confirmed they released no such records.

Palin lied when she suggested to Katie Couric that she was involved in trade missions with Russia; in fact, she has never even met with Russian officials.

Palin lied when she told Shimon Peres that the only flag in her office was the Israeli flag; in fact, she has several flags.

Palin lied when she claimed to have tried to divest government funds from Sudan; in fact, her administration openly opposed a bill that would have done just that.

Palin lied when she repeatedly claimed that troop levels in Iraq were back to pre-surge levels; in fact, even she acknowledged her "misstatements," though she refused to retract or apologize.

Palin lied when she insisted that the Branchflower Report "showed there was no unlawful or unethical activity on my part"; in fact, that report prominently stated, "Palin abused her power by violating Alaska Statute 39.52.110(a) of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act."

Palin lied when she claimed to have voiced concerns over Wooten fearing he would harm her family; in fact, she actually decreased her security detail during that period.

Palin lied when asked about the $150,000 worth of clothes provided by the RNC; in fact, solid reporting contradicted several parts of her statement.

Palin lied when she suggested that she had offered the media proof of her pregnancy with Trig to "correct the record"; in fact, no reports of her medical records were ever published; and the letter from her doctor testifying to her good health only emerged hours before polling ended on election day, even though there was nothing in it that couldn't have been released two months earlier.

Palin lied when she said that "reported" allegations of her banning Harry Potter as mayor was easily refutable because it had not even been written yet; in fact, the first book in that series was published in 1998 - two years into her first term - and such rumors were never reported by the media, only circulated as emails.

Palin lied when she denied having participated in a clothes audit with campaign laywers; in fact, the Washington Times later confirmed those details.

Palin lied when asked about Couric's question regarding her reading habits; in fact, Couric's words were not, "What do you read up there in Alaska?" or anything close to condescension.

Palin lied when she mischaracterized the "$1200 check" given to Alaskans as the permanent fund dividend check; in fact, that fund had yielded $2,069 per person, and she claimed otherwise to obscure the fact that Alaskans also received a $1200 rebate check from a windfall profits tax on oil companies - a tax widely criticized by Republicans.

Palin lied when she claimed to be unaware of a turkey being slaughtered behind her during a filmed interview; in fact, the cameraman said she had picked the spot herself, while the slaughter was underway.

Palin lied when she denied having rejected federal stimulus money; in fact, she continued to accept and reject the funds several times.

Palin lied when she claimed that legislative leaders had canceled a meeting with her to hold their own press conference; in fact, they only canceled it after being told she would not participate, and the purpose of the press conference was very different from the meeting's.

Palin lied when she announced on the news that she never holds closed-door meetings; in fact, she had just attended a closed-door meeting with the legislature earlier that day.

Palin lied when she said that former aide John Bitney's "amicable" departure was for "personal" reasons; in fact, Bitney said he was fired because of his relationship with the wife of Palin's friend, plus a Palin spokesperson later claimed "poor job performance" for his firing - without elaborating.

Palin lied when she said she kept her running injury a secret on the campaign trail; in fact, her bandaged hand was clearly visible in photographs and the story was widely talked about.

Palin lied when she claimed that Alaska has spent "millions of dollars" on litigation related to her ethics complaints; in fact, that figure is much, much lower, and she had initiated the most expensive inquiry.

Palin lied when she denied that the Alaska Independence Party supports secession and denied that her husband had been a member; in fact, even the McCain campaign noted that the party's very existence is based on secession and that Todd was a member for seven years.

3.5 MILLION TO BURY JACKSON: LA GOVERNMENT'S MIDDLE FINGER TO THE WORKING CLASS

So I wrote an article on the hypocrisy of people's reactions to the death of Michael Jackson. Since then it's gotten the FUCK out of control. The response to this guy's death is a glaring example of just how ridiculous we are as a country. Currently our President is in Russia trying to jump start talks on nuclear disarmament and that is a distant second story to the massive funeral of a pop star.

I've watched Jermaine Jackson sing on the Today show and milk the attention, then there's Al "Excuse Me Somebody Might Have A Camera On" Sharpton who can't stop sliding into frame whenever anybody mentions Jackson. Then the scum lawyers and "friends" and everybody getting their few minutes off the guy's death, it's become this giant squirming maggot farm with white larvae feeding their hungry cuntish selves on both the memory and the controversy.

Add to all of that the fact that this guy was a singer, A SINGER!!! That's it, he sang and danced and hoo hooed himself into millions of record sales and this somehow saints him? When Elvis died people all around said "Yeah but he was a racist" and now those same people are saying "Forget the controversy, think of how Michael entertained people". Now comes the best part, this circus of a funeral, this disgusting example of celebrity gone berserk will cost the taxpayers of Los Angeles 3.5 Million Dollars.

Yep, the state that's going bankrupt, that's firing policemen, firemen and teachers will be spending 3.5 million in security and police so people can hold hands and sing Man In The Mirror while crying over a person they don't know. I can't imagine how the people trying to feed their families with a pink slip feel watching their tax dollars go to bury this guy but if it was me we'd be knee deep in another LA Riot.

I know nobody cares about my opinion but I had to say something, call bullshit on the whole thing even if only for my peace of mind. I've watched local politician and vibrating sleezeball Deval Patrick squander money on everything from furniture to billboards while simultaneously firing workers we need, cutting funding for state programs and then laying a bigger tax burden on those of us who managed to cling to our jobs. At this point I think Patrick and LA Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger should battle it to the death and the winner gets to be killed.

So if you're in LA at this "event" then you should be ashamed of yourself, all of you should.

JOSEPH E. STIGLITZ CALLS AMERICAN ON ITS BULLSHIT

PICK UP THE GUN LESSER COUNTRIES, PICK UP THE GUN!!

I'm guessing by now we all can agree that America is the Jock Bully in the World School who keeps shoving kids in lockers, beating up those weaker than him, date raping and saying "she wanted it" and other such awful crimes against humanity. Then he'll give away bag lunches to poor kids and start talking about what a humanitarian he is and how war is "like awful". The reaction of America to their economic crisis versus how we've treated others during financial downturns is being called out. Dig it:

Nobel-prize-winning economist Joseph E. Stiglitz contrasts the American response to its economic crisis with the measures it shoved down the throats of poor countries during their crises, and discusses why rich-world double-standards ("Buy American/European" provisions in bailouts that only discriminate against poor countries) contribute to a global disillusionment in the values that the rich world nominally espouses: democracy, transparency, and so on.

Among critics of American-style capitalism in the Third World, the way that America has responded to the current economic crisis has been the last straw. During the East Asia crisis, just a decade ago, America and the I.M.F. demanded that the affected countries cut their deficits by cutting back expenditures--even if, as in Thailand, this contributed to a resurgence of the aids epidemic, or even if, as in Indonesia, this meant curtailing food subsidies for the starving. America and the I.M.F. forced countries to raise interest rates, in some cases to more than 50 percent. They lectured Indonesia about being tough on its banks--and demanded that the government not bail them out. What a terrible precedent this would set, they said, and what a terrible intervention in the Swiss-clock mechanisms of the free market.

The contrast between the handling of the East Asia crisis and the American crisis is stark and has not gone unnoticed. To pull America out of the hole, we are now witnessing massive increases in spending and massive deficits, even as interest rates have been brought down to zero. Banks are being bailed out right and left. Some of the same officials in Washington who dealt with the East Asia crisis are now managing the response to the American crisis. Why, people in the Third World ask, is the United States administering different medicine to itself?

Many in the developing world still smart from the hectoring they received for so many years: they should adopt American institutions, follow our policies, engage in deregulation, open up their markets to American banks so they could learn "good" banking practices, and (not coincidentally) sell their firms and banks to Americans, especially at fire-sale prices during crises. Yes, Washington said, it will be painful, but in the end you will be better for it. America sent its Treasury secretaries (from both parties) around the planet to spread the word. In the eyes of many throughout the developing world, the revolving door, which allows American financial leaders to move seamlessly from Wall Street to Washington and back to Wall Street, gave them even more credibility; these men seemed to combine the power of money and the power of politics. American financial leaders were correct in believing that what was good for America or the world was good for financial markets, but they were incorrect in thinking the converse, that what was good for Wall Street was good for America and the world.

CURRENT TV REPORTERS GET 12 YEARS IN NORTH KOREA

So the story came down today that Laura Ling and Euna Lee, reporters for Al Gore's TV station Current TV, were given 12 years hard labor for crossing the China-North Korean boarder. As is expected the families and our political figure heads are up in arms about this, screaming and pointing out how unfair it all is. Granted this is unfair and clearly some kind of temper tantrum by North Korea to show how bad ass they are to the rest of us. It's a political wet dream to be able to make an example of two people usually caught in the crossfire of a Government Pissing Contest.

I like to give people the benefit of the doubt so I choose to believe that the two reporters were just trying to complete their story on defectors living along the China-North Korean boarder. This really is unfair to the two of them if they made an honest mistake crossing into the North Korea boarder and I hope that political pressure gets them out before too long.

My issue here is with Americans jumping up and down about how unfair this all is. Wow, talk about hypocritical, this takes the cake. If two people from a country we had no real relationship with were caught illegally crossing into our country the cry for their heads would be swift and incredibly loud. They may beg and plead and express how it was an accident that they were trying to do a story on Mexicans or Canadians and didn't mean to cross into American territory but I'd bet 90% of the American people wouldn't care.

Not to mention our Government detains people all the time just for "looking" the terrorist part. During the Bush administration he waived the idea of Habeas Corpus which meant a prisoner could now be held indefinitely without legal council and without knowing why they were being held. Let's also not forget the whole Water Boarding of folks we assumed were terrorists. When that kind of shit goes down we want instant blood and do it hiding behind "national security".

I'm in no way saying these two reporters deserved what they got because clearly it's way too harsh. What I'm saying is that we as Americans need to relax on waving our fists at countries who do this and pretend we don't do the exact same thing. It goes back to my idea that America either needs to put up or come clean.

We yell and wave our flags about the horrible things other countries do but when caught doing awful things ourselves we tend to hide behind the idea that it had to be done to protect American lives. We can't have it both ways and trying to has led to us being reviled around the world.

If we are going to say we are the shining beacon of truth and liberty then we have to stick to those guns. We don't detain people illegally, no racial profiling, no torturing, no shifty legal practices, no illegal wire taps etc and so on. If that means we have to deal with more attacks on American soil in order to keep up with our higher ideals then that's what we deal with. Taking the high road is never easy but if you commit to it you have to see it through or you're seen as liars. Especially when you have tendency to claim the high road but then take short cuts with human rights and civil liberties the way our political leaders tend to.

If we don't want to take the high road and we want to use any means necessary to protect our country then we need to cop to that and stop pretending we're something we're not. Let everybody know upfront that we will use anything from racial profiling to a magic eight ball to root out the enemy and then torture the shit out of them to get what we need. Come clean with it and then even though we may not be a shining light at least we'd be honest.

The longer we play both sides against the middle the longer we will be hated by the world at large which puts us in more danger than anything else.

7 REASONS THE ECONOMY SHIT THE BED

Author of "Bailout Nation" Barry Ritholtz has shed some light on a truth I think we all knew deep down, that the economic breakdown on our planet was not an "accident". The media and past and current administrations have tried to pretend that the economic collapse was a "perfect storm" or a sudden convergence of circumstances nobody could have seen coming. Well according to the author and this chart the suffering being felt by working families world wide and the debt we're going in to save companies who did this to themselves was a result of specific programs and policies. Check out the chart to get a better idea of what Ritholtz is talking about.

I have an interesting view point on the economic collapse that few share with me. While I wish working folks (myself included) were not being subjected to the panic inducing changes that seem to never end in the current economy it has actually given me some peace. I have watched greedy corporations headed by greedy people wreak havoc across the world for years as others have before me. We as a people have no real degree of compassion or caring for our fellow man, not on the scale we need to survive as a species.

Once Obama was elected I then watched as lies about the economy turned to finger pointing. The Democrats keeps using the "see what you guys did" attack and the Republicans have shown that they simply see themselves as the ruling class. They don't care at all about the plight of human suffering they're just pissed they aren't on top anymore because...well...they are the Kings and Queens, they are the ones who were born to rule. How dare we common peasants try to take back the Government "by the people and for the people"?

To make their ideas known Republicans have reduced their party to temper tantrums and completely illogical attempts to show up Obama and strike fear in the hearts of already terrified Americans. All of this gives me peace because I realize now that we are no longer supposed to be here, that the end of our species is not only our own fault but necessary to wipe out a blight on the face of Mother Nature.

We have less of an ability to socialize and prioritize than apes do, so why should we be the top of the food chain simply because we can make things that go BOOM and further even more destruction?

TOP TEN LIES TOLD TO ALL OF US

We all get lied to, pretty much every day by everybody. From the tiny white lies to save a person's feelings to the giant ones to make sure we stay out of trouble, lies are almost as important as rationalizations in keeping people sane. However as I get older the lies get harder to believe and my ability to fight the quicksand of being jaded I sink further and further. It's with that noble idea I present the Top Ten Lies Told To All Of Us. These aren't in any real order since they all kind of suck.

1. It's What's On The Inside That Counts: Along with "Beauty Is Skin Deep" this is one of the biggest lies ever told. I think our society has largely proven that the only thing anybody focuses on is what you look like. I don't seem to recall many "Awesome Personality" magazines out there or People doing the "Top Ten Hottest Beach Sweethearts" section. People who are good looking, be they scum of the Earth or not, pretty much get everything handed to them. Look at most of the really attractive actors and actresses who suck but continue to get work. Megan Fox anybody?

2. Government By The People, For The People: Yeah I think we all know what a crock of shit this is. Our Government was bought and paid for a long time ago by Corporations and foreign interests. Want proof? Look at where we are now, look at all the hardship going around to working people, families and plain old normal folks. Government isn't doing anything but playing politics and bailing out industries. Lobbyists, special interest groups and plain old greed burned down, demolished and soiled over any basic ideas of what our Government once stood for long ago.

3. America Was Built On Freedom Of Speech: Hmmm, really? You honestly believe that? Then try and stand in a public square and talk about pedophilia or being a proud racist. You'll be beaten down within minutes or at least have people throwing things at you. People only believe in Freedom Of Speech as long as it doesn't bother or inconvenience them, then they hate it.

I don't agree with what the above would say but I wouldn't shoot them for saying it. Try giving a different opinion in a grocery store about how our Government helped move along what resulted in 9/11, I hope you can box. Plus if you think our Government hasn't tried to shut down, vanish or make life difficult for the outspoken who garner a real following, you're fooling yourself.

4. Money Can't Buy Happiness: Only said by people with money and besides even if it can't buy happiness it can make an unhappy life way less difficult. I don't see too many people barely able to feed and clothe themselves sprouting this fortune cookie bullshit. Walk up to somebody from GM and say "Hey well, money can't buy happiness" and wait to see how long you keep your front teeth.

5. Love Will Conquer All: Yeah, sorry hippies that just ain't how it is. Live long enough on this hell planet and you'll learn that Love Ain't Enough is usually how it works out. Try expressing your love when the rent is due or somebody is going to jack you for your cash or a guy walks into a building with explosives tied to his chest. See how long "Love" wins out then.

6. Money Is The Root Of All Evil: No, PEOPLE are the root of all evil. You let money sit there and it does nothing but maybe blow around. Money never whispered into anybody's ear to kill people or sell millions down the river for profit. WE are the root of all evil, it's just easier to shine the spotlight on money.

7. Workers Rights: Workers have the right to bust their asses for shit pay and then get laid off after the mistakes of the bosses screw things up so badly the company is fucked. Workers have the right to leave their fate in the hands of corrupt Union Heads and to be shouldered with every tax burden imaginable when the Government overspends and is staring down the double barrel shotgun of deficit.

8. God Is All Forgiving: Then explain Hell to me?

9. Karma: Karma is not just a lie but a really stupid ideology that tries to explain coincidence and bad luck. Bad things happen to good people all the time and really awful bottom feeding humans get lucky breaks constantly. There is no great energy loop that evens things out, it just doesn't work that way. If it did all those who exploit the weak to make a profit would be dead or broke or something. They're not and to say Karma Takes Awhile is just spreading the blinders to encompass your whole head

10. You Vote Counts: Do I even need to express how stupid this idea is. My vote didn't count when Bush ran and if you really look at Government most laws, taxes and other such things are handled without the voters at all. Plus usually once you vote a guy in office he works for himself, not you.

OK, enough sunshine from me, I'm off to get an iced coffee.

MICHAEL MOORE BIDS GOODBYE TO GM

I'll be the first to admit that Michael Moore is not the great savior of the working class he purports to be. His movies are informative and based in more truth than anything the Repbulicans have done in the last 20 years but they still cross that fragile line between documentary and propaganda. That being said he always makes intelligent and thought out points and his love for American is obvious. People who say he is a trader because he refuses to simply lay down and accept what he's being spoon fed by the media and Government as truth is pure ignorance.

He may talk too much, his opinions may be not as unbiased as say Noam Chomsky and I think the truth comes more from adding his side with the conservatives side and then dividing by two. That being said I was really moved and fascinated by this letter he wrote about the end of GM. Check it out:

June 1, 2009

I write this on the morning of the end of the once-mighty General Motors. By high noon, the President of the United States will have made it official: General Motors, as we know it, has been totaled.

As I sit here in GM's birthplace, Flint, Michigan, I am surrounded by friends and family who are filled with anxiety about what will happen to them and to the town. Forty percent of the homes and businesses in the city have been abandoned. Imagine what it would be like if you lived in a city where almost every other house is empty. What would be your state of mind?

It is with sad irony that the company which invented "planned obsolescence" -- the decision to build cars that would fall apart after a few years so that the customer would then have to buy a new one -- has now made itself obsolete. It refused to build automobiles that the public wanted, cars that got great gas mileage, were as safe as they could be, and were exceedingly comfortable to drive. Oh -- and that wouldn't start falling apart after two years. GM stubbornly fought environmental and safety regulations. Its executives arrogantly ignored the "inferior" Japanese and German cars, cars which would become the gold standard for automobile buyers. And it was hell-bent on punishing its unionized workforce, lopping off thousands of workers for no good reason other than to "improve" the short-term bottom line of the corporation. Beginning in the 1980s, when GM was posting record profits, it moved countless jobs to Mexico and elsewhere, thus destroying the lives of tens of thousands of hard-working Americans. The glaring stupidity of this policy was that, when they eliminated the income of so many middle class families, who did they think was going to be able to afford to buy their cars? History will record this blunder in the same way it now writes about the French building the Maginot Line or how the Romans cluelessly poisoned their own water system with lethal lead in its pipes.

So here we are at the deathbed of General Motors. The company's body not yet cold, and I find myself filled with -- dare I say it -- joy. It is not the joy of revenge against a corporation that ruined my hometown and brought misery, divorce, alcoholism, homelessness, physical and mental debilitation, and drug addiction to the people I grew up with. Nor do I, obviously, claim any joy in knowing that 21,000 more GM workers will be told that they, too, are without a job.

But you and I and the rest of America now own a car company! I know, I know -- who on earth wants to run a car company? Who among us wants $50 billion of our tax dollars thrown down the rat hole of still trying to save GM? Let's be clear about this: The only way to save GM is to kill GM. Saving our precious industrial infrastructure, though, is another matter and must be a top priority. If we allow the shutting down and tearing down of our auto plants, we will sorely wish we still had them when we realize that those factories could have built the alternative energy systems we now desperately need. And when we realize that the best way to transport ourselves is on light rail and bullet trains and cleaner buses, how will we do this if we've allowed our industrial capacity and its skilled workforce to disappear?

Thus, as GM is "reorganized" by the federal government and the bankruptcy court, here is the plan I am asking President Obama to implement for the good of the workers, the GM communities, and the nation as a whole. Twenty years ago when I made "Roger & Me," I tried to warn people about what was ahead for General Motors. Had the power structure and the punditocracy listened, maybe much of this could have been avoided. Based on my track record, I request an honest and sincere consideration of the following suggestions:

1. Just as President Roosevelt did after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the President must tell the nation that we are at war and we must immediately convert our auto factories to factories that build mass transit vehicles and alternative energy devices. Within months in Flint in 1942, GM halted all car production and immediately used the assembly lines to build planes, tanks and machine guns. The conversion took no time at all. Everyone pitched in. The fascists were defeated.

We are now in a different kind of war -- a war that we have conducted against the ecosystem and has been conducted by our very own corporate leaders. This current war has two fronts. One is headquartered in Detroit. The products built in the factories of GM, Ford and Chrysler are some of the greatest weapons of mass destruction responsible for global warming and the melting of our polar icecaps. The things we call "cars" may have been fun to drive, but they are like a million daggers into the heart of Mother Nature. To continue to build them would only lead to the ruin of our species and much of the planet.

The other front in this war is being waged by the oil companies against you and me. They are committed to fleecing us whenever they can, and they have been reckless stewards of the finite amount of oil that is located under the surface of the earth. They know they are sucking it bone dry. And like the lumber tycoons of the early 20th century who didn't give a damn about future generations as they tore down every forest they could get their hands on, these oil barons are not telling the public what they know to be true -- that there are only a few more decades of useable oil on this planet. And as the end days of oil approach us, get ready for some very desperate people willing to kill and be killed just to get their hands on a gallon can of gasoline.

President Obama, now that he has taken control of GM, needs to convert the factories to new and needed uses immediately.

2. Don't put another $30 billion into the coffers of GM to build cars. Instead, use that money to keep the current workforce -- and most of those who have been laid off -- employed so that they can build the new modes of 21st century transportation. Let them start the conversion work now.

3. Announce that we will have bullet trains criss-crossing this country in the next five years. Japan is celebrating the 45th anniversary of its first bullet train this year. Now they have dozens of them. Average speed: 165 mph. Average time a train is late: under 30 seconds. They have had these high speed trains for nearly five decades -- and we don't even have one! The fact that the technology already exists for us to go from New York to L.A. in 17 hours by train, and that we haven't used it, is criminal. Let's hire the unemployed to build the new high speed lines all over the country. Chicago to Detroit in less than two hours. Miami to DC in under 7 hours. Denver to Dallas in five and a half. This can be done and done now.

4. Initiate a program to put light rail mass transit lines in all our large and medium-sized cities. Build those trains in the GM factories. And hire local people everywhere to install and run this system.

5. For people in rural areas not served by the train lines, have the GM plants produce energy efficient clean buses.

6. For the time being, have some factories build hybrid or all-electric cars (and batteries). It will take a few years for people to get used to the new ways to transport ourselves, so if we're going to have automobiles, let's have kinder, gentler ones. We can be building these next month (do not believe anyone who tells you it will take years to retool the factories -- that simply isn't true).

7. Transform some of the empty GM factories to facilities that build windmills, solar panels and other means of alternate forms of energy. We need tens of millions of solar panels right now. And there is an eager and skilled workforce who can build them.

8. Provide tax incentives for those who travel by hybrid car or bus or train. Also, credits for those who convert their home to alternative energy.

9. To help pay for this, impose a two-dollar tax on every gallon of gasoline. This will get people to switch to more energy saving cars or to use the new rail lines and rail cars the former autoworkers have built for them.

Well, that's a start. Please, please, please don't save GM so that a smaller version of it will simply do nothing more than build Chevys or Cadillacs. This is not a long-term solution. Don't throw bad money into a company whose tailpipe is malfunctioning, causing a strange odor to fill the car.

100 years ago this year, the founders of General Motors convinced the world to give up their horses and saddles and buggy whips to try a new form of transportation. Now it is time for us to say goodbye to the internal combustion engine. It seemed to serve us well for so long. We enjoyed the car hops at the A&W. We made out in the front -- and the back -- seat. We watched movies on large outdoor screens, went to the races at NASCAR tracks across the country, and saw the Pacific Ocean for the first time through the window down Hwy. 1. And now it's over. It's a new day and a new century. The President -- and the UAW -- must seize this moment and create a big batch of lemonade from this very sour and sad lemon.

Yesterday, the last surviving person from the Titanic disaster passed away. She escaped certain death that night and went on to live another 97 years.

So can we survive our own Titanic in all the Flint Michigans of this country. 60% of GM is ours. I think we can do a better job.

Yours,
Michael Moore

THE LANGUAGE OF THE SWINE FLU IS PISSING ME OFF

OK, I get it, I understand, the whole Swine Flu thing is dangerous and tense but I am really really fuck tired of how the News is handling this whole thing. Why not just start screaming into the camera

"OH GOD, OH GOD, WE'RE ALL GONNA FUCKING DIE. AHHHH RUN RUNNNNN!!'

Actually that would be too honest for the media whose entire existence is based on scaring people into staying home and buying things. It's not about a Liberal or Conservative media anymore, it's about money bucks. We need ratings so lets make everything that goes even the tiniest bit wrong into a massive shitstorm so people will feel that they must tune in or they'll die.

When I was watching the "coverage" of the Swine Flu it became increasingly interesting how much language has to do with the fear that the News instills in all of us. Look at something as average as the name of the flu. It's called A/H1N1, that's the scientific name for it. However that isn't sexy so the media found out it attacked pigs mostly and decided to call it Swine Flu.

Swine Flu sounds like something out of a Stephen King novel so it'll scare people quicker and get them to tune in. Once the truly ignorant started killing off pigs to purge the flu from their midst (nicely done Egypt) the News started calling the virus by it's real name...sort of.

A/H1N1 again doesn't roll off the tongue so the News shortened it to H1N1 because that sounds scarier. The other sounds all technical and less like an action movie plot. Now we're being attacked by the H1N1 which could cause a pandemic. That's a movie tag line worthy of 1980s Stallone.

When the little boy was found who first had the flu he was labeled "Patient Zero". I guess saying something like "This little boy was the first to get the flu" wasn't nearly terrifying enough so out comes "Patient Zero" and where does Patient Zero live?

"GROUND ZERO"

Yep because giving his location wouldn't scare a paranoid old woman high on bad weed but fuckin' A "Ground Zero" sounds like a bomb target and that is all super scary. I also love how figuring out what to do about this flu is titled "Threat Assessment", the same term we use for terrorist movements. So according to our language we're involved in some kind of germ jihad by a a viral terrorist.

Now that's some scary shit.

Even the Center for Disease Control is adding to the fear. First of all thousands die of influenza every year, so let's not start reciting sections from The Stand just yet. Secondly why would the CDC go on national television and say "We fully expect to see many deaths" What does that solve? Who does that help? Why not wait until there are actual deaths before tossing that term around.

I'm also all set with the news listing all these deaths and how the pandemic is spreading across America. So far everybody who has gotten sick was in Mexico for some reason and the first "death in the states attributed to Swine Flu" was a baby visiting Texas from...where?

Drum roll

MEXICO

Let's forget that many babies die every year of flu like infections. The poor baby that died was actually a citizen of Mexico. Technically there hasn't been one death of an American in America. Why not say that? Why make everything about scaring people to death.

I also love how the news would rather report all the terrible things on the Swine Flu then delve into how you can avoid it. Sure they toss out little tidbits like "wash your hands" but spend most of the air time letting you know how awful it is and that it's incurable once you get it. Why not dedicate as much reporting time on what all can be done to avoid infection? Because that wouldn't scare the shit out of people and get them to remain glued to the TV waiting for the next awful story.

I realize this is serious and I'm not asking anybody to sugar coat anything for me but how about attempting to make it less end-of-the-world dramatic? Just report the news stop sensationalizing it. It doesn't help it just breeds more fear.

Which I feel is a disease that does a lot more damage.

SUCK MY ASS IT SMELLS BOBBY JINDAL

LOUISIANA GOVERNOR BOBBY JINDAL.

This guy is the ultimate example of the sleazy, scummy, reprehensible Republican. He's worse than somebody like Rush Limbaugh because this guy actually has power. Jindal not only refused money to help the poor and unemployed of Louisiana because he thought it was more important to look good to his fellow Republican snakes he also i straight lying about Obama's spending. He said it's cost more than the Vietnam and Iraq war which is total bullshit.

Just like the other Republicans Jindal is filled with zero ideas. He claims Obama's spending is irresponsible but when asked for his own ideas he says things like "re-energize the economy" and "restore confidence in America". He doesn't offer any real ideas he just regurgitates political slogans and then goes back to bashing Obama.

Turn the tables on this used car salesmen asshole and bash him.

DOUCHE CHILL RATING OF: OFF THE FUCKING CHARTS
